2. Player Discipline


Player Discipline
The committee of Chess Valley RFC is committed to develop the 'spirit' of rugby along with playing the game. With this in mind, playing members of the club are expected to adhere to these guidelines.
  • Play to the laws of the game
  • Accept all the referee's decisions at all times
  • Control your temper - you and your team will benefit
  • Co-operate with your coach, referee, team mates & opponents. For without them, there would be no game
  • Remember, the game is played for enjoyment

In addition, spectators, parents and all other visitors to the club are requested to adhere to the following guidelines.
  • Respect the referee and all of his decisions
  • Do not abuse the referee in any shape or form
  • Keep of the pitch during the game
  • Parents - encourage your children to have fun

Chess Valley RFC, as required by the RFU and Herts RU has an internal Discipline Sub-Committee to deal with playing members who have been cautioned or dismissed whilst representing the club.
