You may be aware that two of our players, Sam Shine (Juniors) and John Gray (Seniors), suffered serious neck injuries early in January, Sam during a match and John in a training session.
Both have been treated at Stanmore Orthopaedic Hospital. John is out of hospital now and Sam hopefully will be following shortly but both players will unfortunately not be playing rugby again.
With this in mind we have arranged the fundraising match/day for the hospital as a thank you for the special care they have given our players.
The day will start at 2pm and as usual all are welcome. There will be many (old) faces on show and it would be great to see as many people down supporting this extremely worthy cause.
The Six Nations matches will be shown and then there will be an Auction/Raffle with prizes to include a £400 TV that player Ed Savage has managed to get kindly donated from his company.
The club will be laying on pizza during the half time of the Italy Vs England and a swear box will be by the bar for the match which should raise plenty of funds!
On top of this, the Rickmansworth Sports Club has promised to donate a percentage of the profits from the bar for that day.
All monies raised on the day will go straight to the RNOH which covers the Stanmore site where John and Sam were treated.
If you cannot make the event at all or if you would like to make a more personal donation, you can donate through the Just Giving website links below.

Funds donated to either site will go directly to the Charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate and raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
