The final game of the season has quickly crept upon us!
With a full complement ready and keen to play, it was back to the usual pattern of play, attitude and commitment from the guys.
Having decided to play a extended 1 game the guys quickly returned to wining ways and played like the team that we normally are. Having lost the toss and organised our shape, we ran straight at Bakewell to even the scores and quickly raced into a 8-4 lead at halftime, after 20 minuets of play.
After a well earnt drink and a check of the "walking wounded" the boys carried on from where they had left off. It is nice to see the more older and bigger guys helping and supporting the younger guys, and a special thanks to all of the guys for the warm welcome and words of encouragement to our new joiner Corey, they made him feel really part of the team and after we agreed to try and get him on the score sheet, the guys did all they could to get Corey of the try line - even making dummy runs and creating the space for Corey to run into - a really
nice gesture guys and from the smile of his face, makes it all worth while.
Can I also express my gratitude to the guys from Bakewell and their coaches for their co-operation in helping Corey score this try, true sportsmanship and a gracious gesture.
Towards the end, and most of the boys were running on empty, but never stopped running or defending and today's scoreline reflected their teamwork ethic. I can't wait for next season to start, and to pick up and progress from where we are now.
A special word of praise to Finn for his running off and on the ball
and some let ditch tagging, fantastic again. A few words of praise for Jack also - I think he has been brilliant this season, and has found his calling in life - to get the most tags in a game, again! Well done Captain!

A special thank you, as always, to Sarah and Shon for their assistance and support, it is most appreciated. Thank also to all of the friends and family of the players for making our last home game at Stonegravel a memorable one.
