Chester to take on new rivals Wrexham

The clubs open age sides are playing each other in a friendly ahead of beginning their respective league campaigns.

The match is the first meeting between the two clubs and illustrates the recent growth of rugby league across the region.

Chester Gladiators are playing in the North West Men's League this season while Wrexham Raiders will line up in the North Wales Conference.

Saturday's match is being played at Clifton Drive playing fields, off Sealand Road, in Chester. Kick-off is at 2.30pm and admission is free.
