The RFL is looking for individuals who have a good understanding of rugby league to become match officials.

The North West has an excellent record of producing officials who progress through the game and officiate at all levels.

In order to qualify need to attend a one-day match officials course.

Courses cost £25 for adults and £12.50 for under 18s and run from 9.15am to 4pm.

Upcoming courses are:

Saturday, February 11 at Thatto Heath ARLFC, St Helens
Saturday, February 25 at Salford Sports Village, Salford

Alternatively the RFL has developed a new short course for current and former open age players.

This two-hour evening course couples together playing skills and experiences to the requirements of a referee.

For more information contact the North West match officials development officer Peter Brooke at peter.brooke@rfl.uk.com or 07738 131790.

Chester Gladiators is happy to support any players, parents or supporters who wish to become a match official and maybe able to assit with funding.

Please email info@chestergladiators.com to register your interest.
