Chester-based builders Rees Developments have agreed a four-figure deal with the club, who compete in the North West Men's League alongside clubs from St Helens, Wigan and Warrington.
Rees Developments director and rugby fan Vince Rees met club officials and agreed to help provide them with new playing and training kit as well as keeping membership costs down
Gladiators club development officer Paul Foster said: “We are very grateful for Vince Rees’ generosity because it makes a huge difference to us.
“Rugby league isn’t a particularly well known sport around Chester and this type of support helps us enhance our reputation and grow our club.
“We are committed to making easy access to sport available to all so being able to keep membership costs down will help us to encourage more people into our sport.”
Vince Rees, who also sponsors Ellesmere Port RUFC, said: “Sport is so important, not just for fitness but also because it helps people learn to work as a team.
“Rees Developments is committed to supporting Chester and the surrounding area in terms of jobs and suppliers and offering sponsorship to local sports teams is a natural progression of that ethos.
“It’s essential to support community teams to give as many people as as possible have a chance to enjoy sports and I hope the Gladiators have a really good season.”
