Warrington Wolves coach education

Warrington Wolves’ performance department, in conjunction with the Wolves’ Foundation, is running a series of coach education seminars and workshops.

The initial programme includes (more dates to be announced):

Steve Price, Warrington Wolves’ head coach

Wednesday 15th November
6.30pm-8.00pm

This is a practical session with the club's new head coach in the training barn with him leading the session, along with all the first team and academy coaching staff. The session content will be aimed at coaches in the age group U12s upwards however all are welcome. Those attending should come ready to do some practical work wearing adequate kit.

England Talent Pathway (ETP)

These sessions will be delivered by members of the Warrington Wolves’ performance and Foundation staff. Attending all three will contribute to being award status as an England talent coach and, for your community club, as an England talent development club.

Saturday 11th November
Block 1 – includes talent development, positive coaching & planning
10am-12pm

Saturday 9 December
Block 2 – includes mental skills, goal setting & self reflection
10am-12pm

Saturday 13 January

Block 3 – includes movement development
10am-12pm

Phil Jones, head of youth performance at Warrington Wolves, said: “The coaches at the community clubs put so much time and effort into developing the young players they are looking after, so hopefully these sessions will help support some of their delivery. Also it gives them a chance to spend time with others coaches from other clubs to discuss and exchange idea as well as staff with the Wolves.”

All the sessions are FREE and will be held at University of Chester, Padgate Campus (Crab Lane, Warrington, WA4 2 PD). To book a places email philjones@warringtonwolves.com.
