Encouraging start for Gladiators
Despite a depleted squad, the U11s gave a very good account of themselves against Bury Broncos in energy sapping conditions.
Chester were unlucky to edged out in what was an exciting game and there were some really good signs for the season though.
The forward pack were well organised and provided a sturdy wall in defence, decisive play from acting half kept our momentum up, and there was some terrific moments of skill and team work between our backs with Owen Hughes playing his first game as scrum half and directing the team well.
Magic moment awards were given to Isaac Heaword and Lewis Ruffell who had a brilliant game on the right flank, working together well and showing great skills, and to Luke Johnson who was often outnumbered but never outgunned and did a terrific job on the left wing.
