Chew Valley centre Jamie Gardener collected a hatrick of tries in a game dominanted by the home pack with Luke Gibbs, Nathan Mabbs Godfrey, Adam Pollett and Alistair Russell to the fore. Outside half Guy Winter kept his side moving forward with a series of probing kicks which the defence found difficult to deal with in bitter conditions. Chew were able to make a number of changes at half time and saw out the game with a try from Jamie Carter and one from Richard Pollett who broke from a maul 30 metres out to gallop in unapposed uner the posts. Winter weighed in with a penalty and two conversions and his replacement at outside half Will Bryan knocked over a conversion with the last kick of the game
