Stockyarders 20 Lewis Flyers 12 in game two of the AMNRL Piranha Guard development series.

The oldest winger in town Ian Rose was the star for the Stockyarders as they improved to a 2-0 record in 2014. Rose started the scoring after just two minutes with a long range try straight from a scrum. Brent Sumner converted and then put the Stockyarders 10-0 up with a sprint in from 50 metres out. The Flyers replied with a try from close range through Manny Estrada for a half time score of 10-4.

The Flyers rallied early in the second stanza with an effort from Trevor Cherry but it was that man Rose again who beat four defenders on his way to his second try to settle the nerves. Straight from the resulting kick off Andy Humphrey returned the ball to score a fourth Stockyarders try and put the result beyond doubt. A late Lewis consolation effort from Tim Dawson finished the scoring on a poor day for goal kickers.

GS Promotions MVP: Ian Rose with his two sensational tries. He was pushed close though by the brave half back Scott Herzog for the Flyers.
