At the beginning of the season it was decided to utilise the new storage space created for the Mini and Junior section after the big build by shelving and installing bespoke lockable storage units for each age group U6 – U16. This would then provide a secure area for all individual age group kit to remain on site at the rugby club, removing the hassles of transporting it to and from home each Sunday. This will also give us a safe area to store all our Festival equipment and the sundry items required to host such occasions and our new purchases such a tackle tubes and tackle rings. We have also placed some donated rubber flooring at the entrance of the storeroom which will reduce the initial impact of players and coaches wearing boots as they enter the room. It is hoped to obtain more of this flooring in the weeks ahead.

Well I’m delighted to report that with only 4 Sundays before the official season resumes that the planned works have now been completed on the security cages and kit shelving as seen in the image.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday September 4th where the Season opening City Walls Pass takes place where teams of players pass a rugby ball from the clubhouse around the City Walls and return via North Street where the team will score under the posts in front of the Clubhouse – please support this event. Official Sunday training resumes on September 11th so look out for the registration emails for membership renewal in the coming weeks.
