Midhurst Cup

This is an annual cup between Bognor/Chi/Midhurst at U7-12’s where the club that “wins” most age groups wins the Cup. However, because of Age Grade Rugby the Cup will be “shared” – but, there will be a three-way fixture.

MRFC is a friendly club with a strong ethos of inclusivity. The day will be run in line with the RFU Core Values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. The fundamental aim of the day is for players of all abilities to have fun whilst playing rugby!

Each club may enter up to two teams at each age group from U7 – U11. Teams must be of mixed ability.

REGISTRATION
Registration will be in the clubhouse from 9.15am. Please complete the attached Entry form for each team beforehand and bring it with you on the day.

Each player must be a member of the club which they represent and be registered with the RFU and all players must be of the appropriate age for the team which they represent.

COACHES & REFEREE BRIEFING

KICK OFF
All games will kick off at 10.20 sharp. Please be ready to start promptly so the day can run to plan.

REFEREES
Each team should provide a referee to at least RFU Level 1 standard. Each pitch will have an allocated pitch steward to help getting matches under-way.

Referees are expected to carry a coin for the toss, a whistle and a note book and pen for score keeping and a stop watch for time keeping. Although the pitch steward will help with score keeping and time keeping, these are the responsibility of the referee, whose decision is final. Please ensure referees are in right place at the right time.

TOUCH JUDGES
Each team should nominate a touch judge at the start of every game; this will be overseen by the pitch steward.
