History

Bilborough Town FC were formed in 2007 when after previously running Vernon Villa 2nd and 3rd Teams farther and son Colin and Steve Lee created Bilborough Town who were helped with this by Richard Farrell and Competed in the MAA Premier Division.

The following season the team were entered into the Nottinghamshire Senior League 2nd Division where we had a poor 1st season upon which Steve invited Winston Blackwood and his wife Claudia to come on and board and Town’s ambitions would improve gaining promotion the following season.

Alongside the senior team there was an Under 16 team formed who performed well in their first season. The 2011/12 would also be a good one as managers Steve and Winston recruited an old friend in Andy Lord who has a lot of local footballing contacts and previously with both of the managers when he was younger, Andy went on to play at a higher standard and his coaching and knowledge made Town a more professional team.

With the club slowly growing we then formed another 2 teams for the coming season with an Academy side entered into the MAA and a U13 to play in the Young Elizabethan League on Saturday mornings, Town ended their final season in Division 1 as one of the highest scorers when they managed to score over 100 goals in the season before moving onto the premier.

Town this season again looked good for with more teams added. The Academy moved into the Reserves teams and have now entered into the Nottinghamshire Senior League alongside a U12 team that are to play on Saturday mornings. Also added is a Sunday team & U13 Sunday team and finally a U19 team that are playing teams such as Mansfield Town, AFC Mansfield, Mickleover and a few more.

Many backroom changes have been made during the close season with Wayne Morrison Joining the Club as Match Day Secretary and also Jevon Swinscoe who has taken up Secretarial roles as well as Programme Editor and Publicity Officer all this is added to Aaron Adams, Tony Law, Ricky Law all taking up coaching and Managerial roles within the club.

Let’s hope for a successful season for Town.
