For many of us, it is uncomfortable to think that there are people in our immediate area who are in a position where they need assistance from a food bank. But as many of you will have seen this week on the television, delays in disability & benefit payments can cause people to go hungry through no fault of their own. Add to this people who are struggling to make ends meet in these days of zero hour contracts. There but for the grace of God I say.

So at Christmas time when we think of those who are struggling we would appeal for you to bring a donation along to our collection during the next couple of weeks. There are collection boxes in the bar and downstairs - Junior will be adding more as needed.
