The Picnic Ball is less than 2 weeks away - we have some important news for everyone who is lucky to have a ticket. Get ready to party!

Dear all,

Please see below the timing and general information for the Ball next week Saturday 27th September

Dress code: Picnickers are reminded that the dress code for the event is strictly black tie or posh frock. The Picnic Ball is not a fancy dress event for diners but the tables are a different matter.

Table set up : any time after 1pm on Saturday, the Table Plan will be in place. Please adhere to it, it’s been arranged this way for a reason and not for last minute re-organisation.
We have a home game against Worthing on Saturday afternoon so the club and surrounds will be very busy so please do not block entrances and park where directed for set up

Table theme: You are free to dress your tables as you wish. Tables and Chairs are provided; you will be responsible for your table cloths, balloons, cutlery, glasses, etc.

Wine Auction: Every table (of 10) is requested to bring 1 bottle of wine for the auction

Event start time: The evening starts at 6.45pm for 7.30pm; if your table is late starting then this can cause delays in the rest of the evening. We have a lot to get through this year, with formalities, a great band and disco and we want to maximise your dancing time.

Takeaway deliveries: please ensure takeaways are delivered NO LATER than 7:45pm

Car parking: Please leave the car park outside the clubhouse free as we use it as a turning circle for the taxis

Auction & Raffle: There will be an auction and raffle as normal, the raffle will be conducted by more teams to speed things up on previous years, please support us on this as it’s a big fund raiser for your club.

Bar: A full bar will be running in the marquee. Bar license is until 12 and the evening will end at 1am

Being a good neighbour: The council have strict rules regarding noise, if it’s a still night the noise travels and if that’s the case we will be obliged to turn the volume down in the tent. Please be aware that we cannot jeopardise the club’s future by making too much noise and upsetting our neighbours.

Rubbish at the end of the evening: There will be bin bags in the tent, please clear your table on the night if possible with rubbish to go in one of the two skips on the site.

We can accept no responsibility for anything left in the tent over night.
Anything still left by 10.am on Sunday will be disposed of in the skips.

This is a great occasion for the club, let’s all have a great time and continue the tradition of a fantastic night at Chinnor RFC Picnic Ball
