Many of us are stunned and saddened by the sudden loss of David Boyd Leslie .On Monday 7th July, like many I attended St Andrews Church for a service of thanksgiving and a wonderful celebration of David’s life.
During this service we heard touching stories and memories from both his family and friends which highlighted just how many people, not only in the local community but far and wide that had been privileged to know this man.

David was a kind hearted man, quiet and unassuming would do anything to help and assist when he could but above all a gentleman. I know how very proud he was of all the work he did for our football club, not only refereeing games, arranging courses but also mentoring and assisting our new young referee’s.

David was a dear friend to Chinnor Football Club who will be sadly missed by all, he will remain in our hearts and thoughts.
In a fitting tribute to David, the good work will continue with a memorial fund for new referees. Lynn and David’s family have requested that a donation can be sent to The Oxfordshire FA. Please write DBL on reverse of cheque.
