2012 AGM well attended
Chippenham RFC go from strength to strength with the help of it's vollunteer members
The 2012 AGM of CRFC was held last Thursday at the club with a record attendance of members. The assembled heard club chairman, Mark Parry, tell of the successes of the season 2011/2012 and how the club had moved forward to new heights. The highlight was the highest finish for the 1st fifteen and the immense mini festival now being held over two weekends.
Mark emphasised the importance of the volunteers that run the club. These number well in excess of 100 and yet there still remain many more rolls to be fulfilled.
The changes to the elected members of the Management Committee were Keith Collins succeeding Steve Regan as Treasurer and Judy Allies succeeding Rod Turvey as Volunteers Coordinator.
Steve Regan’s phenomenal work to keep the club finances on track during very tricky times was recognised with his receiving of the Frank Osborne clubman of the year award.
