Sunday the 6th of July saw the Cheetahs take part in the Charity Tournament hosted By the Dodderers at Dursley RFC in Gloucestershire in aid of Rob Camm a young contact player who was seriously injured play rugby. There were 160 players in 16 teams from Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Several Stroud Combination clubs were represented - Dursley (who entered 6 teams), Cirencester, Cainscross, Minchinhampton, Stroud Rugby, Thornbury and Wotton. Invitation teams included the Touch Rudders, Smith's Shotguns The Dodderers.

The tournament was split into four pools, and then depending on where teams finished either competing for the plate, bowl, cup and wooden spoon trophy. With narrow pitches and 14 minute games (7 minutes a half) high scoring games was always going to difficult

Chippenham Cheetahs played in pool A with the results being as follows , 1-0 win, 2-2 draw and a 4-0 win, which qualified us into the cup semi-final by virtue of being pool A winners. Unfortunately Chippenham lost to a much fitter side in the semi-final, but the difference of one try showing how hard we fought

Again the Cheetahs finished in the top 4 this time out of 16 teams so a good result for a more vets orientated side. To date the touch for Rob campaign has raised close to £5000. See link below,
