Chippenham ended Gloucester City's run of four successive wins with a comprehensive victory at Hardenhuish Park played out in front of 612 fans.
Chippenham opened the scoring on two minutes when the Tigers defence failed to deal with Jake Andrews's long throw and Dave Pratt headed home.
Pratt then appeared to be felled in the area but despite appeals no penalty was given whilst his low cross deflected off Rob Cundy bringing s superb reflex save from Tom Hadler.
At the other end Ed Williams twisted past three defenders before his shot was deflected behind.
Ethan Moore’s shot from distance was then easily gathered by Jared Thompson, before the home keeper pulled off a good save to deny Joe Parker.
Pratt, who was behind most of the Bluebirds attacks then shot across the face of goal after Dean Evans’s ball over the top, whilst on the half hour Will Richards headed just wide from Matt Smiths corner.
Pratt's cross then saw Mike Jones get a toe to the ball inside the six yard box but Hadler fell on the ball on the line.
The Tigers stopper then held on to Nuno Felix's thirty yard drive whilst just before the break Moore headed wide for the visitors.
The final action of the half saw Moore head wide.
After the break Parker’s low shot was easily gathered by Thompson.
On fifty minutes Pratt headed on to Andrews whose shot from distance was saved.
Chippenham doubled their lead nine minutes into the second half when a long through ball found Andrews who slid the ball passed Hadler from distance for his first goal for the Bluebirds from open play.
Darren Mullings then shot over the bar whilst Evans’s shot was deflected wide. Jones then headed wide at a Bluebird corner.
Just past the hour Smith's shot was blocked by Hadler’s legs whilst Joe Hanks’s volley went straight at Thompson.
Ten minutes from time Richards's shot went across the face of goal whilst Gloucester substitute Zack Kotwica’s shot was held by Thompson before the Tigers’ best chance came in the third minute of stoppage time when Hanks’s shot hit the bar.
