A pre-season message from the Chairman
Subscriptions for 2016 are unchanged from last year: £150 for members over 23, £100 for those aged 17-23 in employment and £75 for those aged 17-23 in full time education.
The club is already paying for pitch hire, balls etc so I would ask all players to pay their subs as soon as possible. For the Club, the cheapest and simplest way for members to pay is by internet banking direct to CWCC’s bank account for which the details are:
Chiswick and Whitton Cricket Club
Sort code: 30-94-42
Account number: 03089089
I have opened the batting with the first payment - please do not delay. It would be great if all renewing regular players could have paid before the club game on 16 April – if this has been done via internet banking (don’t forget to mention your name on the payment) it will save both the Treasurer and team captains a lot of work.
The 100 Club is a great way to raise funds for the club – and to have an opportunity to win cash prizes.
The subscription is a modest £5 per month or an annual £60. 50% of these subscriptions are used for the prizes but the balance supports the Club. If we reached the target membership of 100, over a year there would be £3,000 available for prizes and a similar amount for new equipment etc for the Club.
At the moment we are a long way short of 100 members. The good news is that this gives each person in the club a better chance of winning - although the amount they can win is less and there is less available for the Club. So if you are not already a member, I would urge you to become one. And if you are already a member, why not consider additional memberships for partners, children or other family members? Joining is not a difficult process – Entry Forms are available from the Club’s website
…for another season of good weather and good cricket. With our teams in Divisions 2b, 4b, 5a, and 9b there will be no shortage of challenges ahead.
Watch out for announcements about the Club Day on 16 April to start the season. I look forward to seeing as many members as possible then.
