The visitors scored first when Brad Tyson
followed through from a Tom Sharp
kick to touch down. But Folly soon hit back with two quick tries with their pacy full back having a hand in both. The home side went further ahead before Sharp managed to squeeze over the line on the half time whistle to leave it 14 - 10 at the break.
The game resumed and there was clearly nothing between these two sides. Folly put up a bomb early in the second half and when Chorley failed to deal with it the home side touched down for the try under the sticks. But Chorley soon hit back when Sharp took on the line again and went in under the sticks for a fine try. The game was really tight by this stage and the three debutants; Joe Fowler, Kaine Nightingale and Joseph Clemson were playing some fantastic rugby with their defensive effort in partricular catching the eye. But unfortunately it was not to be on this occasion and Folly scored late on to secure the win.
This was a good performance today from the Panthers and the Man of the Match Award goes to Daniel Gallagher whose organisational skills in the middle of the park really did pay dividends. Next week it's Rylands away and with another two new signings making their debuts next weekend can't come quick enough.
