| Chorley Panthers RLFC | 30 | vs | 10 | Widnes West Bank Bears |
Chorley 30 West Bank Bears 10
A fine display from from Man of the match Andy Bridge set Chorley on there way to a critical win to get Chorley into the play offs.
Top tackler Danny Helme worked hard together with most improved players John Andrews and two try hero Alex Bridge. Hooker Tom Carter opened the scoring with the first of his two try's. Ben Jones was again on target with the boot with a 5 from 5 conversion rate and scoring a fine try of his own in the corner.
Frank's view :-
A big improvement in the teams spirit and a more switched on approach was the main contribution to today's game. The bears came at us with one out rugby and our defense held strong. We did come up with some errors and penalties in our red zone which put us under pressure and lead to the Bears try's. All in all a good display and to make sure of the play offs we have to carry it on into next week against Crossfields who will not be pushovers for sure.
