Mr Alan Kirk of Chorley recently contacted me expressing a wish to make a donation to the club. Mr Kirk wanted to recognise the good work of the club and to make the donation in memory of his late wife, Marie Teresa Kirk who passed away in February this year.
Mr Kirk's grandson Declan Kirk also enjoyed many years playing down at Panthers.
A decision was made to purchase a defibrillator which the club took delivery of this week. This is a vital piece of life saving equipment which a club of our size really does need. Training in the use of the equipment will soon be delivered to all team first aid volunteers.
Mr Kirk also made a substantial cash donation which is gratefully received and will obviously help in the ongoing improvement to facilities at the club.
On behalf of the club I would like to thank Mr Kirk for his kindness and we look forward to seeing him down at the Panthers when our new facilities are completed.
