Panthers in the limelight

With the start of the new super league season next weekend, the members of Chorley Panthers are going to struggle who to pledge their allegiance with!

Former players from the Panthers club are all on show and are showing what a hot bed of talent is located at the Coppull based club. Josh Charnley following up from a superb season in 2011 will be running out in the Cherry and White of the Wigan Warriors, whilst Matty Ashurst will be donning the colours of the Salford City Reds. Matty has been on the fringes at St Helens now for a couple of seasons and this move should see him see much more first team call ups. Jamie Ellis’s signing from local club Leigh Centurions to Hull FC will see Jamie finally break into the big time allowing him to prove what a star player we always knew he was.
Additionally to these Sam Singleton former player with the club saw his 1st team debut with Leigh Centurions in a friendly against Wigan Warriors U20’s on Friday night with the Leigh outfit enjoying a magnificent win. Chorley Panthers Club wishes all its former stars well for the forth coming season.

Fantastic piece that. Not bad for a "development" club. Think we might be causing a few to have a closer look at us over the coming years - serious contenders.
