The ladies were in good form today as they swept away their local rivals with some scintillating rugby league. It wasn't just the result that was impressive but more the way the team went about their business in beating a well drilled Miners. The tries scored were all well worked team moves coupled with some moments of individual brilliance. Although the visitors gave their best in trying to keep in touch they were no match for a Panthers side full of pace, aggression and high quality rugby skills.
The try scorers were Catherine McGarrie, Eleanor Trumper
, sophie dodd
, Laura Burgess
, nicholette postlethwaite
(2), Catriona Hall
, Jacqui Simpkins
and Player of the Match Aimee Cleaver
kicked 7 goals.Lucy Wright went well for the Pinks, Most Improved were Dodd and Simpkins but the whole team were exceptional today playing some fantastic rugby which resulted in some breathtaking tries.
For those who haven't yet watched our women's team I suggest you get down to the next game to see some very entertaining rugby. In keeping with the male section of the club the future looks very bright because just like the men, the women have an abundance of talent pushing up through the Girl's U12's, 14's and 16's sides.
The Future's Bright With The Pinks!
I also understand the crew of Panther TV will be at the next Ladies home game, watch this space.
