There are over 100,000 volunteers who give back to grassroots rugby, week in, week out. From the kit washers to the line painters and the bus drivers to the tea makers, the game that we all know and love wouldn’t be the same without the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

Out of all the nominees our very own Steve was shortlisted. Steve how? Steve the pirate, no Lloyd Snr is called Steve. After hanging up his boots last season, he actually made it to more training sessions, coaching. He has shown amazing flair as coach, with a wealth of experience and really helping the team build and develop.

It was a great night and well done Lloyd for the hard work during the season and then being the last ones at the bar. Just need to remember not to mix the red wine and beer Josh....
