Over the last week, objections, competition committee hearings and appeals have combined to place the Cill Dara senior team in a perilous position in the league. Disqualified from the Towns Cup and deducted six points, the seniors now find that they must win their final match against the league winners, Wanderers, this Sunday in Cill Dara in order to retain their Division 1A status.

It is a cruel blow to a group of players and coaches who have excelled over the last few months and brought a real sense of pride to members. Sunday's game with Wanderers is now their cup final; the biggest game in Cill Dara's short history.

However, your attendance at Sunday's game is needed for much more than just vocal support. Cill Dara RFC is a club that represents a small community. Away from the club, players know players, parents know parents and our young members go to school with each other. We now find that some in our club community, our friends, need to know that the entire club, from U.7 upwards, is united behind them. It's time to show them in person.

Admission is free. Bring friends & family. The seniors' game kicks off at 3:00 p.m. but please be there early. Wear anything red and white. Mini's and youths can wear their jerseys.
