Squad Update from the Manager

There’s a fair bit to update on the player news front.

Danny Clare has received his scan results and it is as worst feared; he has torn his ACL & has Cartilage damage, we are all gutted for him.

Nick Harrhy has had his season curtailed by the long standing hip problem.

All the postponements have had an impact on Joe Perry who runs his own business and he is now unable to commit to all the games we have remaining. Joe will remain registered and should we have an injury or suspension to Cameron Clarke then he will be available for us, provided he can make arrangements in work. Joe is still building his business and this is his livelihood so we totally respect and understand his position at the moment.

In more positive Joe Hunt is set to return from Newport on loan until the end of the season after a successful first spell, coming with him from Newport County is Tom Savigar who can play in midfield or at right back.

We have also agreed with James Harding a centre forward with Hartpury’s first team to join until the end of the season. James has had a torrid couple of years with injuries but has the potential to score goals at this level no doubt. We are looking to add one more defensive option before the deadline and then we feel we will be set for a very busy end to the season where a good squad will be needed with so many games in a short period of time.
