New Clubhouse

City of Portsmouth move to new clubhouse.

City of Portsmouth Hockey Club are pleased to announce that we have now secured a new venue for our senior match teas and club socials this season. Following several successful socials last season we will now be using the clubhouse at Portsmouth Cricket Club (location and directions at the end of the article) for the 2016/17 season.

This arrangement will see all home games returning there for teas, and we strongly encourage returning away teams to come in to celebrate or commiserate - juniors are also welcome to come along as a range of soft drinks is available.

Due to the nature of the venue we will be responsible for the preperation of our teas, so we strongly encourage club members to volunteer to help in any way they can as this will prevent your hardworking committee members from becoming overburdened with jobs and responsibilities. If you can help, please drop me a text, email or message.

Finally I would like to offer my thanks to those who made this possible - Dave Johns, Lauren Stewart, Neil McMaster and Seb Martin from CoPHC, as well as Glyn Davis and Andy Chapman from PCC. Without their contributions of hard work and valuable time I would not be in a position to make this announcement, so make sure you offer to buy them a drink when you see them in the clubhouse.

I look forward to seeing you all there during the season.

Ed
