Jim Newman Memorial Cup Update
Saturday 31st July saw Shrivenham entertain Letcombe and Clanfield host Witney and District FA.. All games at Radcot Road
The first game of the day saw Shrivenham and Letcombe entertain each other in the annual tournament.
One of the faviourtes for the trophy Shrivenham ran out 4-0 winners.
The 2nd game of the day had the hosts in action, Clanfield was entertaining a Witney & District FA Team who had entered the competition for the 1st time this season. Clanfield was expected to win and with a hat-trick from Craig Mays and 1 from Chris Blakley saw the Robins progress to the next round of the competition.
Will this be the year the robins keeps the Jim Newman trophy at Radcot Road.
For the fans, there will be 2 more entertaining games taking place at Radcot Road today with the big game of Purton and Abingdon taking place. Come down and enjoy a great day at Radcot Road.
