New Players Welcome
The Mini section of Cleethorpes RUFC focuses on offering children at School Y7 and below in the area an opportunity to learn the skills of, and participate in the game of Rugby. The Club has recently received the seal of approval from Twickenham which recognises and endorses the fact that the Club is well run, with sound principles.
The Mini section runs teams from Under 7's through to Under 12's, with the under 7s playing non-contact TAG rugby whilst they learn the game.
Both girls and boys are welcome to come and play.
All age groups either train or play on Sunday mornings.
Games are played against other sides from Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, with a further opportunity to play at festivals against teams from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
We are now able to see ex Mini-Rugby players moving up through the Junior ranks and hopefully as the club continues to progress and advance, into the Seniors - this takes many years of hard work and determination. Minis at U10 and U11 train every Wednesday.
Coaching and Management of the Mini teams is voluntary and is generally undertaken by current and ex players, and also by keen parents. All our Coaches are police checked. The Club is very proud of everything the section has achieved and hopes that Rugby remains an important part of the players lives.
