The ‘A’ team opened their season in the East Lincs Combination division one with a fine 7-0 win at home to Scamblesby. 20 minutes where on the clock when Tom Wingate met a pacey Callum DeGruchy corner with his head to put the Owls into a deserved lead .

The lads looked too exploit both wings and right on half time DeGruchy finished well from the edge of the area after Peter Farrell laid him off . Alparslan Arslan made it 3 in 50 mins with practically his first touch after coming on for Farrell finishing neatly into the bottom corner .

Last 15 minutes saw a goal blitz with DeGruchy getting his 2nd albeit after a deflection three minutes later Benjamin Gray scored from 25 yards with his left foot shot hitting the roof of the net giving the keeper no chance . Gray then scored a tap in on 83 mins after more clever build up play with Harry Crawford finally getting on the scoresheet that his performance deserved and after some top saves from the Scamblesby keeper off his previous efforts.

All in all a solid display from all 16 involved , clean sheet as important as the goals too .
