Cleethorpes Town host Heckington United at the newly-refurbished Linden Homes Club on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
With second-placed Skegness United in Supplementary Cup action against Hykeham Town, the Owls could stretch their lead at the summit to 16 points.
The Owls have still conceded just one goal since 17th December and will be hoping to carry on that impressive defensive record until the end of the season.
Heckington currently occupy 8th position in the Sills & Betteridge Lincolnshire League.
Having recovered from a recent blip which saw them go five games
without a win in the early part of 2012, they will be cautiously
optimistic of coming to The Linden Homes Club and causing an upset.
The club have won their last two matches by three goals to one, against CGB Humbertherm and Skegness Town respectively.
Cleethorpes met Heckington in the reverse fixture in the very first game of the season.
The Owls ran out 3-1 winners that day after two goals from Ricky
Belding and one from Micky Steer. Luke Llewellyn scored for the hosts.
The danger man for Heckington is undoubtedly frontman Nathan Thompson.
Thompson is United’s top scorer and has found the net 13 times in 17
appearances this season.
Kick-off at The Linden Homes Club is at 3pm and we would like to invite as many people down to the refurbished club as possible.
As usual, The Owl, Cleethorpes Town's official matchday programme, will be on sale for £1 from the club house prior to kick-off.
