Return to winning ways

Cleethorpes Town Reserves entered the fixture looking to return to winning ways after an excellent start to season the impressive run was halted in the previous weeks.

Cleethorpes Town Reserves called upon Callum Cordingley and Harry Hudson from the clubs under 18's who took their place on the bench as they welcomed Horncastle Town.

The team put in a creditable display as Clee dominated but they could not turn the domination into goals until Connor Southern opened the scoring in the first half as the first half ended up 1-0 at the break.

The second half saw the performances of the team lift further as a fine team display was capped by Connor Southern added a further three goals in the second half as Clee finished 4 - 0 winners. The game also saw Cordingley and Hudson make their senior debuts at Lincolnshire League level so a good day for the team and the clubs youngsters.

Connor Southern was named the Grants man of the match as Clee are now 5th in the league on 9 points from 15.
