The game started and both sides where prepared to attacked as both sides sought the advantage. Both Keepers were in action to deny the opposition taking the lead. Cleethorpes attacks were finding the attackers through one on one but the efforts needed a little more composure as the final efforts went wide.

Lincoln took the lead as the Lincoln attacker hit the ball towards the far post as the ball went in the net off the upright to provide Lincoln the lead. Cleethorpes saw numerous chances go begging as they could not get the equaliser before half time.

The second half saw Cleethorpes continue to attack but either the chances were well saved or were wasted but the encouraging sign was they kept going. Though Lincoln doubled there lead and the signs were ominous for Clee but a change in midfield saw Cleethorpes gain the initiative as they controlled the ball better and the move into the box saw an effort saved as Lincoln failed to clear as Nearney slotted the ball home with composure as it added to the teams belief.

Taylor Wood equalised he broke free of the Lincoln defence to calmly slot past the Lincoln goalkeeper much to the delight of the home side. Then Archie Lumby scored the winner as the ball was played from wide across the 6 yard box where Archie came in at the far post to strike the ball into the net. As Cleethorpes Town Pattesons advance to the Semi Finals of the competition.
