Two tough tests await on League return!

It is back to the Evostik East for the Owls tonight (Tuesday) as Brighouse Town pay us a visit. Although currently bottom of the table, Clee have only had 7 league outings. To put that into perspective, we already have an incredible 13 knock-out games this campaign under our belt!

After departing the FA Cup with heads held high at Guiseley last week, we enjoyed a good team performance at Radcliffe, progressing into the next round of the FA Trophy with a 3-2 scoreline.

Brody Robertson rightly grabbed the headlines with a superb hat-trick but the team played with tremendous spirit. Dylan Parkin and Danny North were two players to particularly impress on the day.

The question is... can we carry our cup form back into the league? Brighouse are sure to be a real test and they currently sit 5th in the table. They also had a fine 4-3 victory at Morpeth in the FA Trophy at the weekend. This will be the first ever competitive meeting between the sides.

On Saturday, our old NCEL rivals Tadcaster Albion are the visitors. We have enjoyed several exciting encounters with them over the years, famously we have never suffered defeat. Let's hope this is still the case after the game!

Once again, Albion will be no soft touch. They are 9th and will be eyeing a top 5 finish and an all important shot at the play-offs.

We should have a full squad available for Marcus Newell and Dave Smith to select from, apart from Oli Donald. The young defender will be sitting out tonight's fixture, serving a 1-match ban for his sending-off at Guiseley.

So, we are all set and, with 6 vital points up for grabs, all of our excellent home support is going to be both needed and much appreciated!
