Harry Ellison and Dan Williams will join the club from Glastonbury ahead of the 2018 season at Dial Hill.

I'm absolutely delighted to have Dan and Harry joining us for the 2018 season.
- Jake Lintott, First XI captain

Clevedon Cricket Club is delighted to announce the double signing of Harry Ellison and Dan Williams from Glastonbury ahead of the 2018 WEPL Premier One season.

Ellison, a top-order batsman, scored an impressive 769 runs in WEPL Premier Two Bristol & Somerset Division last season, including four centuries – while Williams topped the bowling charts with 34 wickets at an average of 18.41.

Williams is no stranger to Dial Hill having played for Clevedon during the 2013 season, before making the move back to Glastonbury.

Ellison has previously played First Class cricket for Cambridge MCCU, while also playing Second XI cricket for both Kent and Northamptonshire during the 2017 season.

“I'm absolutely delighted to have Dan and Harry joining us for the 2018 season,” said First XI captain, Jake Lintott.

“They have both had brilliant summers for Glastonbury - with Dan as leading wicket-taker in the league and Harry the second highest run-scorer in Premier Two - and I know they'll be great additions to what is already an extremely talented squad.

“Dan is a big swinger of the ball and will give us control. He's a brilliant athlete and we know that he will contribute with the bat towards the end of the innings.

“Harry is an exciting prospect and someone who just keeps getting better, year on year. I'm looking forward to seeing him get stuck in at the top of the order and give us that stability that we need to post big totals.

“Both players are very well known amongst the squad anyway, having played age group cricket for Somerset together from U11-U17.

“They'll be a great fit and we are delighted that they've decided to join us.”
