Somerset EPP all-rounder, Cameron Harding, has joined Clevedon from WEPL Bristol and North Somerset side, Congresbury, ahead of the 2018 season.

The 16-year-old scored 621 league runs in 2017 - including three fifties and one century - as well as taking 27 wickets at an average of 19.52, as Congresbury stormed to the Bristol & District Premier title.

Harding is currently on Somerset's Elite Player Programme and is studying at Taunton School.

"Cam is a really exciting acquisition for us. I have been working with him for a couple of years at Congresbury and his progression has been very impressive. He has decided that now is the right time for him to take his cricket to the next level. We will do everything we can to work with him and help him on his path.

"He is consistent with the ball, technically very sound with the bat and a good athlete in the field. He gives us options and also someone who will continue to learn and develop over the next few years.'

"Credit to Congresbury for their work is his development - Cam is one of many young players to have come through their set up."
