Clevedon Town v Saltash United Preview
The next visitors to the unbeaten Seasiders on Saturday are Saltash United who visit the Everyone Active Stadium for a 3pm kickoff. Saltash had to start again from scratch after last season’s promotion play-off defeat to Bristol Manor Farm, with only Jordan Ewing still featuring this season with new manager, former Millbrook boss Mackenzie Brown, having to completely rebuild the side.
So, the Ashes are somewhat of an unknown quantity at this early stage in the season but so far have lost all 3 games they have played. In contrast the 6 new signings in the new look Town squad have all contributed to the successful start
However, the overall record between the two sides is close and in the 42 games played, Saltash have won 19 and Clevedon 14, with 9 draws and a goal difference of 51-62 in favour of Saltash. Recent games have also been close, with both sides winning their home games 2-1 last season.
All this makes for an intriguing game so make sure you don’t miss it plus the bar will be open from 11:00 am for the England Lionesses game!
