The Seasiders follow Boxing Day’s 3-1 derby win over Nailsea & Tickenham with a top of the table clash at Somerset rivals Bridgwater United on Saturday, kick off 3:00 pm, with Town top, 5 points ahead of third placed Bridgwater.
Bridgwater also won on Boxing Day at Wellington but lost 2-3 last time out at home to Buckland Athletic last week for their only home defeat of the season. It means both teams go into the match with 2 defeats and 4 wins in their last 6 games, but Town have won their last 4 in a row.
Clevedon are also unbeaten in the last 5 league games between the sides, but Bridgwater won a Somerset Premier Cup First Round match 3-0 at the Everyone Active Hand Stadium earlier this season.
It’s another game where both teams know each other well. There could be a number of former Seasiders in the Bridgwater line up, and the King family have a foot in both camps, with Ryan and Freddie at Town and George at United.
Whatever, after the win on Boxing Day Seasider’s Manager Alex White said, “We’ll continue to take it a game at a time and now move on to a completely different challenge on Saturday.”
Supporters are advised to look out for pitch updates on social media.
