Cliffe dominated the first half but found themselves 2 down against the run of play following two ‘flukey’ goals when a long-range free-kick was missed by goalkeeper Harris, followed shortly afterwards when Tatt Birch accidentally lobbed his own ‘keeper from 35 yards. At the other end Cliffe continued to press & were rewarded when Rawson scored after good work from Milner.

HT: 1-2

Cliffe started the 2nd half playing well but allowed Poppleton to gain more confidence & they increased their lead after a cross from the right was headed home. Despite working hard Cliffe just couldn’t get back into the game & the away side scored a late goal to leave the result in no doubt.
