Thanks to past President Grant Watson for passing on this selection card from 1922 detailing not only selection but also where to meet for the upcoming game on Saturday. No, the selection card was not for Grant himself(!) he played a bit later than that but was kindly passed onto him.

Club historian Patrick Casey found the selection card interesting as it related to a period when Clifton played at a ground he has not been able to pinpoint as accurately as the others. From 1920 to 1926 before the move to the Eastfield ground Clifton played at a ground owned by Westbury Cricket club. This is from the same period.

Clifton are lucky to have one of the most prolific of rugby historians who has compiled an amazing history of Clifton Rugby Club available by clicking here. It truly is a remarkable collection including a wealth of information - for example here is information on Clifton's very first ground in 1872 to 1875.
