11th August East Mids & Notts Senior League Weekend Games

1 week ago By Ray Smithson

The first team host league newcomers Newark Flowserve at home on Saturday 11th August

This will be their third game of the season in the East Midlands Counties League.

The new look Clifton All Whites will be looking to continue their impressive start to the season as they have won both games and are equal top of the league on 6 points. Last week saw them gain revenge over Gedling Miners Welfare, a team that completed the double over the All Whites team last season.

To follow up in midweek the team travelled to Clipstone FC a team previously in step 5 and came away with a magnificent 4-0 victory. The new players have blended in well and the team will be looking to finish higher than last years 12th position.

The visitors Newark Flowserve have come up from step 7 of the Nottinghamshire Senior League with a breathtaking record of winning the Premier league by 25 points and scoring 135 goals.

Rumour has it that they have invested in some extra experienced players to compete in this league and this was on show when they put eight goals past Arnold Town last week at home.

It all boils up to be an intriguing fixture between two quality teams. As usual, the bar is open and food served.
