Latest photographs to come are photographs of the 1970s Notts Sunday League select XI and the 1963 Corpus Christi (Clifton) team. They can now be viewed in the Clifton Other teams section.
The Notts Sunday select XI were a selection of the best footballers to play in the Sunday League. At least 8 of the players had turned out Saturdays for Clifton All Whites and some went on to play professionally. Others in the team were also from Clifton and played for another great Sunday afternoon team of the era Clifton Rangers. This goes to show the strength of the Estate when it came to talented footballers.

The second picture is of the Corpus Christi team from way back in 1963. Although the picture is not in good condition it does show that the Catholic side of the Estate were there from the beginning. They were to produce some of the early Clifton All Whites players from the great 1964-65 Young Elizabethan teams.A very familiar player in that day was Tony Bloor who took his coaching badge whilst training the early All Whites Under 12s and 14s in 1964. He was partly responsible for bringing through the Catholic talented players in the All Whites team of Terry Mosley, Iain Walsh, Michael Dilnot and Andy Wray

We are always looking to add old Clifton All Whites and other old Clifton teams to the archives being built up in the photographic section. Send old photographs to email@example.com
