AROUND THE COUNTIES
The weather won again this weekend and only two of the eleven scheduled matches survived the latest downpours. With barely half the allocated matches played so far this season it has not yet reached crisis proportions, but if things get much worse it might be a case of some clubs playing eight matches a week!!

RADFORD moved up into tenth position as a result of a 3-0 home win over HOLBROOK SPORTS given to them by a salvo of goals around the half time whistle. Conor Moore broke the deadlock in the last minute of the first half, and Ryan Smith extended home advantage six minutes into the second. Simon Hore’s 67th minute penalty put the seal on three points for the Selhurst Street side to lift them a shade up the table.
GEDLING MINERS WELFARE won the only other game to beat the weather by the same score. Here, an early strike in just the second minute by Liam Corrigan gave them the perfect start against bottom club RADCLIFFE OLYMPIC. But the Miners could not find another breakthrough until the 83rd minute when Jack Jepson hit their second followed by a third from Dwayne Brown just a minute later.
And that, as they say, was the sole action for this weekend.
