Clifton Ladies 4-1 Bingham Ladies 1

2 weeks ago By Ray Smithson

Ellie Ramsall opened her Clifton account with a second chance but finished it well at 1 nil up

Another great performance from the ladies we kept a 5 game unbeaten streak going.

Clifton played some great football passing the ball around and then scored with a throw in on the left from Katherine Meehan to Emma Clarke who ran inside and passed a through ball and in a 5 pass sequence the ball fell to Katy Hart who hit a sublime shot in to the back of the net a truly great team move and that's how it stayed till half time 2 nil .

In the 2nd half Clifton kept the pace of the first half and another brilliant team goal started with captain Hannah Whiting playing a one two with Emma Jacobs who played another 1 2 with Emma Clarke. Hannah ran through and placed the ball past the outstretched keeper 3 .1

Bingham kept fighting on and got 1 back with a bit of sloppy defending but Clifton came strong again and Caty Sharman scored her 3rd in three in the dying mins Bingham were awarded a penalty but Clifton keeper Karen Hoygot her fingers to it and it hit the cross bar bouncing high in the air. When the ball came Karen Hoy stuck out a foot and cleared the ball for a throw in at the final whistle Clifton win 4 1 with mom Megan Marshall
