Football2Amsterdam - Target Reached

5 months ago By Ray Smithson

Its 4 weeks to the World Cup with England naming their final squad today.

More importantly its just 2 weeks before the lads ride to Amsterdam on behalf of Prostate Cancer.

Last night at the semi final of the League Cup saw Chet collecting more donations. The good news is that the target of 21000 pounds has been reached by the local riders.

Why stop, its not too late to add to the total and with 14 days to go it would be nice to top the total and make it up to 22k by going to

The lads have joined together to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. Your donation can really help them smash this goal
Football to Amsterdam - the biggest ride and party in football, backed by the English Football League and League Managers Association.
The ride takes place on 1-3 June 2018, just two weeks before the World Cup kicks off.
145 miles over two days of cycling will fly by as the camaraderie and banter carries you through to the Amsterdam ArenA.

The ride is a 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by The English Football League and the League Managers Association.

Martyn says “By donating to my page, you are helping me raise money which will:_

  • a) fund research into prostate cancer which searches for a cure
  • b) b) fund publicity which raises awareness
  • c) c) fund support services for sufferers

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer .
That's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
