after leaders Southwell City lost at home to Awsworth Villa and Bingham Town edged out Stapleford Town 1-0.
On a rainy day in Southwell, Villa’s two Towles, Liam and Danny netted in the first half and, as City’s goals finally dried up, that’s how the score stayed. In Bingham, it was a Jack Goode strike midway through the second half that secured the points for the hosts. Awsworth’s win lifts them to level on points at the top with Southwell.
It took until the 88th minute for Cotgrave to see off Sandiacre Town 1-0. Ryan Plummer came off the bench to get the crucial goal as Adam Heard kept his second clean sheet of the week.
Wollaton twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with FC Cavaliers. It was Joshua Stevenson that got Wollo back on track both times, his first from the penalty spot. Louis Czerwak and Liam Taylor were the Cavs scorers.
AFC Dunkirk ran riot against bottom club Gedling Southbank, winning 9-1. Sam Harbottle grabbed a hat-trick and Kieran Diver two. George Bosworth, Danny Blanchard, Luis Parkes and Brett Soiza were also on target. Kian Leavesley got Gedling’s late consolation.
Goals from Ryan Tinsley, Scott Litchfield and Macauley Diuk saw Keyworth United past Attenborough 3-0.
Rares Demeter put Aslockton & Orston ahead at Bilborough Town early on. James Hallam added a second after half an hour and Julian Joachim a third on the hour mark as their side won 3-1.
In Division One, leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers were in Nottinghamshire FA Senior Trophy action at Sherwood Colliery Reserves. The tie went into extra time at 2-2 but Woodthorpe ran out of legs, eventually going down 7-2. Basford United Community missed the opportunity to leapfrog into first place as they could only draw 1-1 against Kirton Brickworks.
Ross Cochrane-Smith bagged a brace for Ruddington Village in their 4-0 win at Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves and Bright Agana was on target twice for Beeston as they drew 4-4 with Ravenshead.
Bestwood Miners Welfare won 3-1 at Awsworth Villa Reserves to move into 16th ahead of Mansfield Hosiery Mills, whoo went down 2-1 at home to Southwell City Reserves.
Tim Moore got both of Selston Reserves’ goals in their 2-2 draw at Radford Reserves, while AFC Bridgford and Wollaton Reserves also shared the points.
In Division Two, AFC Clifton stayed second in the table, ahead of their opponents Newark Flowserve Reserves, with a 3-2 win, including two goals from Connor Boulton.
Luke Davis scored a hat-trick for Clifton All Whites Development in their 5-1 win over Elston United and Jordan Richardson notched three times for Ruddington Village Reserves as they saw off Sneinton Town 5-0.
There were two goals apiece for George Camps and Nick Westerman as their Robin Hood Colts won 6-3 at AFC Top Valley.
