Under 13s manager Martin Stafford has finally given up the managership due to work commitments and has found it a struggle to make training.
He says “Sadly today was my last day as manager of the Unders 13s. I can't believe its been 7 years, I started with a win & finished with a win & still have 4 of the originals from the Soccer School days.
“It would be unfair on others helping the team to have carried on being the manager when I cannot attend the training sessions. Luckily I have had a lot of help from Richard Shaw as without his help I would not have been able to carry on.
Also a big thankyou to Mikey Bowles Scullian who has agreed to become Manager next season, I will not be severing all links and will be there to help you wherever I can. My son will still be playing for the team. Thanks for all the positive comments placed on facebook, its been an emotional day”.
A great manager lost and also a tremendous player in Jessica Shaw who played her final game for the club today.
Jess has played for Clifton All Whites since the age of 5, She says “I would like to thank every team member who have all treated me with respect and as an equal, you boys are truly amazing. I will miss you all”
Sarah Shaw would like to thank Mikey Bowles Scullian for his support of Jess and it has been second to none. She says “You are one of the reasons this decision has been so hard for her to make”
Finally a comment from Committee member Simon HappyNuggets Morgan “Have a great game Jessica Shaw. Thanks for being a part of the club and all the best with your future. If it’s ball shaped it will be a bright one”
