All Whites stun Kimberley Miners Welfare
Needing to remedy their 2-1 defeat to Radford Clifton travelled mid week to Kimberley
It all started quite badly the weather was freezing and several degrees below zero and only six players had arrived 20 minutes before kick off, not the best start at all. To cap it off the referee had dobbed us in and we were fined £25 for handing in a late team sheet.
if referee’s just stuck to football game’s we would all be better off or then again would we !!! another story for another day.
In the end Clifton started the game with the bare eleven players and my word how good they were. Luke Crosby opened the scoring on 16 minutes with a smart solo finish and that seemed to knock the wind out of Kimberley’s sails.
From then on Clifton completely controlled the game but for all the possession all they was a solitary goal and went in 1-0 up at half time. Looking comfortable – the second half started and Clifton started from where they left off dominating the game and eventually got their well deserved second goal, Jevon Seaton scoring on 53 minutes.
Finally Tyrell Shannon Lewis made it 3-0 with a penalty on 78 minutes. Clifton thoroughly deserved their victory and after such a bad start the eleven players that started and finished the game did themselves and the club proud. Well done lads superb.
